The Teacher Grab 2025 Debuts to Honor and Support Educators for World Teacher’s Day

An exclusive giveaway event providing educators with essential classroom resources and community support

· Press release

WASHINGTON (September 10, 2025) — Teachers give so much of themselves to inspire and empower students, and this back-to-school season, the community is giving back. The annual Teacher Grab event, happening October 3, will provide free supplies, resources, and wellness gifts to educators as they begin the new academic year.

The Teacher Grab, takes place just ahead of World Teachers’ Day and highlights a shared commitment to making sure every teacher has the tools they need to thrive, both inside and outside the classroom.

Multiple institutions across Washington, DC have submitted entries sharing why their school should host the event. One school will be selected as the official site of the inaugural Teacher Grab, based on the passion and need reflected in these educator stories.

The Teacher Grab event will feature:

  • Complimentary classroom supplies to ease financial burdens on educators.
  • Wellness resources to help teachers prioritize their mental and emotional health.
  • Community connections with local partners, businesses, and organizations committed to supporting education.

“At Teacher Grab, we deliver elevated resources for teachers,” said Teresa Lasley, creator of Teacher Grab. “This is meaningful support that goes beyond the usual classroom essentials, helping educators make a real impact.”

World Teachers’ Day reminds us to celebrate and support educators globally. The Teacher Grab is turning that sentiment into direct action, putting essential supplies, wellness gifts, and resources straight into the hands of DC teachers. It’s a high-energy, community-driven way to honor the people shaping our future leaders.
