WASHINGTON (August 14, 2019) - Private Chef No Restaurant Week celebrates award-winning and emerging culinary artists with a series of curated events across the District.

Private Chef No Restaurant Week will bring together award-winning chefs, culinary students, travelers, and local foodies to experience some of the best private chefs in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Each uniquely designed event will feature recipients of the Mayor’s Great Street Small Business Grant, Washington’s Best of DC small businesses, celebrity and rising chefs in the industry.

Chef Chris Spear owner of Perfect Little Bites who is also the founder of the online community, Chefs Without Restaurants will also be sponsoring and participating in this event. His mission is to support other food entrepreneurs and encourage collaboration over competition.

“Private and personal chefs are as talented as those working in fine dining establishments around the world. Many of them were just looking for more work/life balance or flexibility,” says Spear.

The event series features many of the talented culinary artists and innovators including Marriott’s Masters of the Craft Competition winner Elliot Satterwaite, America’s Best Baker DC and Discovery Family’s Bake It Like Buddy winner Kareem “Mr. Bake” Queeman, owner of The Uncaged Chefs Damian Brown, owner of Killa Cakes Bria Taylor, winner of the Inc. Magazine and UPS Small Biz Challenge Samiah Bingham who is creating the first food incubator in Prince George's County, MD.

Foodies have their choice to attend a number of events including “A Plant-Based Lifestyle” featuring vegan and vegetarian dishes, “Destination X” offering international cuisines from around the world, “An Ode to Chocolate City” which discusses minority leadership and entrepreneurship in DC to “Chefs and Cocktails” a seated dining experience featuring an intimate culinary activation.

This week is sponsored in part by Allstate Insurance Group, Capital Vacation Rental, Dine Diaspora, Shinju Tequila, Chef X Concepts, and Chefs Without Restaurants.
