WASHINGTON (February 5, 2018) -- VanDaBry Entertainment celebrates the release of Black Panther with 100 reserved seats at Regal Cinema 14 followed by a private panel discussion, champagne toast, dinner and cocktail reception at Clyde’s in Gallery Place/Chinatown located at 707 7th St NW in Washington, DC on Saturday, February 17.

This red carpet, royal affair will celebrate the rich history of blacks in film and media with notable panelists from Marvel/DC Comics, Georgetown University and WPGC. Moderated by CEO of VanDaBry, Dr. Greg Banks the confirmed panelists are as follows:

  • Award-winning psychiatrist, Advisor to Both the Congressional Black Caucus and the first African American-led Archaeological Expedition in Egypt, Ashanti Royal of Ghana, West Africa, Cultural Educator and CEO of the Black Psychiatrists of America Dr. Patricia Newton

  • Actor Marc John Jefferies (Notorious, Losing Isaiah, Power, Get Rich or Die Trying)

This film screening commemorates VanDaBry’s 20th PowerWatch event. The series of events launched with the release of season three of the Starz hit series, Power in 2016. The event welcomed special guests Very Smart Brothas’ Panama Jackson, WPGC’s Guy Lambert, Former Miss DC USA and 1st runner up MISS USA, L. Angus Whinfield among others. Since then VanDaBry Entertainment has hosted both season three and four of the show and are thrilled to bring Wakanda fans together for the ultimate DC Black Panther Watch Party screening. Royal attire is requested for all guests, though all are welcome to attend.
