Suwanee, GA (July 3, 2018) - After more than a decade of mentoring, speaking and participating in philanthropic causes, multi-platinum selling songwriter, M’Jestie hosts her first live rehearsal and media mixer at a private estate on July 28 in Suwanee, GA.

For years, M’Jestie has been behind the scenes of the industry mentoring artists and speaking at conferences on her unique journey that has led her to sell more than 2 million records and gross over 3 million dollars as described in her TEDx Talk. To date M’Jestie has written for artists such as: Rihanna, Melanie Fiona, Kreesha Turner, Victoria Beckham as well as a number of international artists across the globe.

M'Jestie emerged on the scene after securing her first major radio hit, "Pon de Replay" more than a decade ago. It was then that Def Jam president Jay-z signed shy and star-strucken Rihanna after she performed “Pon de Replay” along with 2 other demo records in New York. Initially, Jay-z considered the record too big for Rihanna, but eventually decided to sign her and debut the song on her first studio album Music of the Sun. A decision that catapulted her music career when it peaked at number one on the U.S Billboard Dance Club Songs chart, number two on U.S Hot 100 Billboard chart as well as the UK Singles chart and certified two times platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America. Afterwards, M’Jestie moved around the industry working with mogules such as her longtime friend Chris Anokute (Def Jam) Damon Dash, P.Diddy, Vada Nobles (Miseducation of Lauryn Hill) and several other music executives as well as launched Dream Little Dreamer/Dream City University a music school for aspiring, young artists based in Virginia Beach, VA. M'Jestie is also responsible for helping sign two Tidewater area atists: now Young Money recording artist, Baby E. and Markell Clay.

This month, M'Jestie's Live Rehearsal invites media mavens and tastemakers to take a first listen to unreleased, unfiltered and unapologetic music from her camp that she humbly refers to as “hug music” produced by Calvin Merazh. Tastemakers, influencers and industry insiders are invited to attend this Live Rehearsal Session for this anticipated Pre-Release Party. This event will be a first look at lighting, sounds, compositions, mixes and the story behind her music.
