Annual SkyQueen Luncheon Elevates Women's Leadership in Aviation as Maryland Celebrates Aviation and Aerospace Day
Annual SkyQueen Luncheon Elevates Women's Leadership in Aviation as Maryland Celebrates Aviation and Aerospace Day
BALTIMORE, MD (February 9, 2026) — In the spirit of Maryland's Aviation and Aerospace Day, Women Rock Wings announces the Second Annual SkyQueen Luncheon, celebrating women shaping the future of aviation. As Governor Wes Moore and Lieutenant Governor Aruna Miller spotlight the state’s aviation innovation and workforce development, the luncheon serves as the cultural counterpart, ensuring women are not only visible within that future but leading it.
While government leaders highlight the industry's economic impact, The SkyQueen Luncheon, in partnership with the Federal Aviation Administration, brings the conversation to the women powering it: executives, pilots, pathmakers, and pioneers whose leadership is charting new flight paths. Inspired by Maryland's historic aviation investment, this year's venue, The Yumi Hogan Art Gallery inside Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport, embodies the intersection of innovation and ambition that drives both the state's agenda and Women Rock Wings' mission.
"When states invest in aviation, they're investing in the future," said Meagan S. Hobson, CEO of Women Rock Wings. "The SkyQueen Luncheon exists to ensure women are not only part of that future but leading it. As Maryland amplifies its focus on aviation workforce development, we provide the visibility, mentorship, and community that transforms aspiration into achievement."
The luncheon features panel conversations with women leaders across luxe travel, leadership, and policy, and hosts its inaugural SkyQueen Awards honoring women across aviation and aerospace.
Honorees include:
- Claudia Zapata-Cardone, President of Latino Professionals in Aerospace
- Stephanie Goetz, Pilot and Founder of The Pink Jet
- Marisa Maher, Army Blackhawk Pilot
The Second Annual SkyQueen Luncheon will take place on March 14, 2026, at 1:30 pm at the Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport. More information is available at www.skyqueenluncheon.com. Proceeds from this event will go to With Our Wings Foundation, ensuring the future of flight is equitable, inclusive, and powered by women's talent and vision.
